Our client’s top priorities included more storage, a more functional layout and a dining room accent wall. Reworking the floor plan allowed for more natural light, plenty of cabinetry, and an aesthetic that’s modern with an unexpected twist.

  • In the kitchen we changed the layout so that we could fit a peninsula, adding more counter space. The corner sink was relocated and centered on a new window. We added two large pantry cabinets across from the short end of peninsula.

Just past the peninsula and pantry cabinets is the dining room, which features a bold, custom-designed accent wall. The old dining room window was replaced with new set of 60” sliding doors which allows for a ton of natural light and also provides a stronger connection between this space and the back porch.

Shila and her team are both patient and attentive to detail. They truly listened to everything we were looking for and helped streamline the process for us. We both work full time and have two small children and I can struggle with decision fatigue. Having Shila and her team know exactly what we are looking for and provide us a shortened list of options was invaluable.

I feel completely at home. Since we designed this space specifically for our family and thought through every detail, we were able to walk right in and just know exactly where everything should go and just feel completely at home in the space. It is the first part of the home that feels completely ours and words cannot fully describe how much I love it.
